A closer look.

Finite Robotics’ Robothinner (Tic, Tac, and Toe) is a self-propelled orchard robot that thins fruitlets to a grower’s target count and to canopy rules such as thinning to doubles or to kings. FIRA USA 2026 uses that product name. One unit carries a nameplate “FINITE ROBOTICS TIC E1.01”.

Commercial release June 2026; three units in service; 14 orchards in 2026; apples and pears in Canada, with the USA, Chile, and New Zealand named as short-term markets. 1,000 kg; 200 × 180 × 300 cm; 4 km/h; solar with gasoline backup; integrated GPS, vision, and Starlink; robot-as-a-service priced per acre or per 1,000 removals. Finite’s site says thinning robots are in their second leaf and that the company is looking for leading growers for the 2026 season.
