Croptimal launched a tractor-mounted Croptiscan 3000 for smaller seed-potato growers. PotatoPro (22 September 2026) says the 3-metre machine hangs on a tractor, puts a camera above each row, and uses the same camera and marking technology as Croptimal’s self-driving Croptiscan models. Algorithms were trained on data from seven operational Croptiscan machines plus twelve separate camera arms.
Published capacity (PotatoPro): 3 m working width; 5 km/h; about 1.5 ha per hour or around 12 ha per working day. Ambient-light shielding is meant to work in bright sun and in the dark. Price: EUR 95,000 plus EUR 4,000 per year for service, support, and algorithm updates. Growers can later upgrade to a fully self-driving 3-metre 4-row, 6-metre 8-row, or 9-metre 12-row Croptiscan. Co-founder Jeroen Wolters is quoted; Croptimal’s own site lists him as CEO.
