TopFarmRobots · Farm robots, weekly · Week of September 28, 2026
Hi there,
I'm Carl Lippert. If you don't remember signing up, you joined the list at topfarmrobots.com, the directory of farm robots I started at the end of 2024 (my family has a farm). This is the first weekly email.
Quick question: what would you like to see here, and what do you do? Just hit reply. One line is plenty.
Each week we pull three machines from the catalog, look closely at one company, and round up recent farm-robotics news with links to the sources.
This week leans toward vegetable harvest, with two harvesters working out of Reservoir Farms in Salinas, California. Thanks for reading.

TOR Precision Laser Weeder
An autonomous GPS-RTK laser weeder from Dutch company Trabotyx, with up to 6 lasers and up to 10 hours of battery; Future Farming reported that at most 10 machines would be available for the 2026 season.

An autonomous electric pruning arm for orchards and vineyards from Israel's Robotic Perception; the company says it can run 24/7 and "matches 4 workers."
Company spotlight: Sami Robotics

Sami Robotics is a Québec startup based in Varennes, founded in 2023. Its SAMI platform harvests selectively with 12 to 18 robotic arms, and the company says each arm picks a ripe vegetable in under three seconds. Broccoli is the application available today, and the company says SAMI harvested broccoli commercially in Québec in 2025.
The harvester is now at Reservoir Farms' Salinas site, where it is "validating harvest in iceberg, romaine, and brassicas, with growers giving feedback every day," according to Danny Bernstein of Reservoir (Sep 27). CEO and co-founder Pascal Labrecque told Future Farming that harvesting is the only active focus for now.
