Prefiro.
Prefiro GmbH is a Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and University of Hohenheim spin-off based in Weingarten (Baden), in the Karlsruhe district of Germany. It builds ASPIRO, a selective modular harvester for green asparagus that mounts on a farm tractor. Managing directors are Frieder Matter and Lorenzo Di Leo. Prefiro says it was founded in October 2024 after EXIST and Young Innovators funding.

Prefiro shows ASPIRO at three 2026 field demos ↗

Prefiro says that in May and June 2026 it showed ASPIRO live in Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Baden-Württemberg, and that more than 90 farmers saw the machine. Further 2027-season demos are planned; dates were not yet published.
