Trialling laser and robot farm technology ↗

kalfresh.com.au

Kalfresh, a Queensland vegetable grower, is running Hort Innovation Next Gen Weed Management trials. Head of Agriculture Craig Dingle says an Ecorobotix ARA is working a Clintonvale carrot crop, spraying only weeds it detects in real time. Separately, a Carbon Robotics Gen 2 LaserWeeder is in organic crops; Ed Windley, a certified organic grower at Kalbar, calls it the fire snail. Craig Dingle says the laser weeder is particularly useful for beans and onions. Crops in the trial include onions, corn, carrots, beans, cabbage and broccoli.

Carbon Robotics: $100m+ revenue, a new 'bot and a path to IPO ↗

agfundernews.com

Paul Mikesell · Founder and CEO

Interview with Paul Mikesell, founder and CEO, at the inaugural Ruggedize conference at Reservoir Farms, Salinas. Carbon Robotics passed the $100 million revenue mark in the year to March 2026 and intends to become an independently publicly traded company via IPO. G2 LaserWeeder (early last year / 2025) described as more modular, with multiple sizes. Autonomous tractor product / kit converts an existing tractor to a fully autonomous system; the company says it may raise additional capital to expand that product line. Available in about 20 countries; most traction in the United States, then Western Europe, and Australia. Article also notes an as-yet-unannounced machine in the ag robotics field — no specs invented.
