Product news · Aug 25, 2026
Solinftec release 25 Aug 2026 (West Lafayette): 100+ Solix robots, 55,427 acres through July in 13 US states and Puerto Rico; 85% average chemical cut (83–89%); first full commercial season of the autonomous Refill Station (1,700+ refills); current Solix $55,000; ~200 robots and 80 more Refill Stations expected for 2027.
Ed Solinftec’s largest US commercial Solix season so far. Through July 2026 more than 100 Solix robots operated in 13 US states and Puerto Rico, covering 55,427 acres (22,431 ha) and monitoring more than 95 million plants. Average chemical-use reduction was 85% (range 83–89%), using cameras and Solinftec’s ALICE AI for scouting and targeted application.
2026 was the first full commercial season of the autonomous Refill Station (introduced 2024). Through July: more than 1,700 autonomous refills and more than 45,000 US gallons (170,000 L) transferred; one station refilled its robot more than 120 times. Travel speed of the solar-powered robot was raised from 1 to 2 mph (1.6 to 3.2 km/h) via motor and software updates.
Solinftec is expanding Solix into a four-model platform: solar-electric X1, battery-electric XT, gas/diesel XR, and hybrid-electric XC, with tank capacities from 50 to 1,200 US gallons (189 to 4,542 L). The XR was to be previewed at the 2026 Farm Progress Show (1–3 September, Boone, Iowa) and is expected for the 2027 season. Plans cited: about 200 robots and another 80 Refill Stations in 2027. Current Solix priced at approximately $55,000 (€47,000); manufacturer payback claim about 2.5 years on input savings alone.
Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network (14 September 2026, Farm Progress Show) quoted COO Guilherme Guiné: eight cameras on a 40-foot boom, solar charging, weather limits, and the automated refill station.
