Laser weeding and electrocution at the same time ↗

Andela is launching a new Robot Weeder generation with M-pede arms in a double row, 25 cm spacing, and full-field coverage. Capacity rises from 3 to 8 weeds per second per weeding unit. Configurations are 4, 6, or 8/9 units for a 3 to 6 metre in-row width; a 4.5-metre machine can match the older 9-metre robot. An optional blue-diode laser sits behind the electric probe for weeds up to 5 mm. Headland turns become autonomous next season. Retrofit of the new arms onto older frames is not expected before 2028. Price is not yet set and is described as in line with the previous generation.
